My Thoughts
Getting to visit the The Paleon Museum was such a cool experience, especially because this was actually a museum that my former professor Dr. Scott Persons had shown us during class as a way to help teach and bring paleontology to life. Getting the chance to finally see those exhibits and sights in person that I had only seen through a screen before was a really special feeling.
Beyond just the fossils and displays, one of the best parts of this trip has been getting to meet new people, visit new institutions, and see the passion that goes into these smaller museums. Everyone I met was incredibly kind and welcoming, and it really showed how much these places mean to the people who work there. It was a great reminder that museums are not just about the specimens, they are about the people, the stories, and the connections made along the way.
